HSJ Patient Safety Congress 2024 – thoughts and reflections

Another year at HSJ Patient Safety Congress, another fantastic opportunity for our UK team to talk about patient safety with the experts in the field!

Hosted again at the incredible Manchester Central Convention Complex, the 2-day event was packed with an incredible variety of seminars concerning solutions to greater patient safety; with key thoughts such as the importance of bringing together expertise, the discussions around current challenges and what is being done to address them as well as reducing errors and the further progressions of Scan4Safety, there was a lot of thought-provoking content available.

Even though this is our UK team’s 4th time returning to HSJ PSC, the conversations and experiences were still as fresh as ever, with some great feedback about how h-trak is supporting patient safety for our customers as well as our new developments in process that can help with highlighting errors – and how we’re keeping our CO2 emissions down while doing it!

From the emotional conversations around the Cumberlege Report and the impact a point of care data capture system could do to protect patients in the case of future recall incidents, to the matter of interoperability, saving on time and cost with automating ordering once items are used in a procedure, the discussions were there and had in full.

We wanted to thank HSJ for another amazing event and for everyone who visited us during the event. We can’t wait for next year!
