h-trak UK User Group 2024 round up
Returning to the scenic Etc Venues London County Hall, this year’s h-trak UK User Group called on the fantastic talents of external speakers from University Hospitals of Derby and Burton, Zebra and GS1, and alongside our business discussions provided a packed event with much customer discussion and interaction.
Starting the day with introductions, Nick Roots, Business Development Manager, then handed the podium over to Kirk Kikirekov, Managing Director, for a fuller look into h-trak UK’s Business Updates. Further details on h-control, h-trak’s business intelligence system, as well as details on one of our most unique implementations to date, featured alongside details on h-trak’s continuing focus – delivery of values, honesty, diversity and integrity.
Making a welcome return to the stage were Chris Roe, Scan4Safety, E-Procurement and Inventory Control Officer and James Mayne, Programme Manager and Scan4Safety Lead from University Hospitals of Derby and Burton, with a detailed look into the recent Burton implementation. Prompting questions from delegates, the ability to share information about successes and processes highlighted the importance of customers being able to share space together – and the ideas that come from it!
Chris Florey, Engagement Manager from GS1 UK provided a detailed look into GS1 Healthcare’s mission, details on the Scan4Safety programme (and benefits this had to patient safety), alongside how much healthcare traceability was available when utilising GS1 standards. With the opportunity to take advantage of Chris’s knowledge at hand, customers had questions lined up and ready to go, concluding that GS1 plays a key role in keeping the momentum of Scan4Safety going, alongside gaining data and keeping discussions ongoing. We couldn’t agree more.
After a customer discussion section, Matt Wroughton, Expansion Markets Sales Manager and Ciara Devlin, Regional Account Manager for Healthcare & Emergency Services from Zebra technologies UK started off with a bang in showcasing some incredible VR tech (which many had had the pleasure of trying throughout the day). Following this was an in-depth look into future plans as well as
current technology and how this can help with supporting greener initiatives in healthcare organisations. We were wowed by some of the incredible advances ahead and can’t wait to see them in action.
Speaking of greener initiatives, Nick Roots returned to the stage to provide an in-depth look at h-trak UK and our greener solutions, our emissions, our recent application for the Evergreen Assessment alongside results, our Carbon Reduction Plan and opened the floor to how we might be able to support healthcare in achieving Net Zero targets – finishing with offering to offset all attendee journey emissions with tree planting projects.
Kirk Kikirekov returned for the penultimate session looking into the extensive list of h-trak developments ahead, leading into some fantastic customer discussions about further ideas and some great enthusiasm for the plans lined up. Of course, we can’t go into detail but we’re excited for what the future holds!
Lastly but by no means least, Lewis Taylor, Project Manager, detailed the array of h-trak digital training solutions
to support customer’s continued training of the h-trak system – what is currently available, what’s being updated through to some brand new additional and bespoke solutions – as well as looking at how to keep emissions down while doing so.
We wanted to say a huge thank you to all of our customers who made the journey to London, to all of our speakers for making the time to present, Etc Venues London County Hall and the fantastic support from the team for a great day as well as everyone from the h-trak team for supporting the event.
